David Ngog Wants To Stay At Liverpool Despite Interest From Elsewhere

Liverpool striker David Ngog will not be leaving Anfield this summer, according to his agent Bruno Satin.

The Frenchman had been linked with a loan move away from the Reds, with reports today suggesting that the Merseysiders had rejected a loan offer from West Bromwich Albion because they are short of cover at centre-forward.

The Reds apparently want to bring in two new strikers before the season begins, and Ngog is needed in case that plan does not come to fruition.

And Satin maintains that Ngog is happy to stay at Anfield and fight for his place.

"There has been interest in David, but he will not be leaving on loan," Satin told skysports.com.

"He is only 20 years old and he played in 37 matches for Liverpool last season, so why would they let him go?

"I know Roy Hodgson likes him as a player as he mentioned him before at Fulham. David wants to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place this season."
