Marseille forward Andre Ayew has been talking up a summer move across The Channel to England.
Speaking on French TV show Telefoot, Ayew revealed: "It's a league I always think of. I am Ghanaian and an English speaker, and the English league is the one most watched in Ghana.
"I have a strong preference for England. I am not seeking to leave but, if interested clubs have the number of Marseille president Vincent Labrune."
The 23-year-old has been at the Stade Velodrome since 2005 when he joined as a 16-year-old from the humorously named Ghanaian side Nania.
Presumably the move was aided by his ability to travel instantly between the clubs via a wardrobe (N.B. that's a terrible literary reference as opposed to anything relating to fellow African footballer Papa Bouba Diop AKA 'The Wardrobe').
Either way, Ayew quickly showed his potential and made full debuts for both Marseille and the Ghanaian national team in 2007.
A couple of loan spells at Lorient and Arles-Avignon continued Ayew's progress before a break through year at L'OM in 2010-11 saw the forward play over 50 games and score 13 goals.
That campaign followed some impressive showings for Ghana at the 2010 World Cup where the Black Stars were controversially beaten in the quarter-finals by Luis Suarez and Uruguay.
Subsequent seasons have seen Ayew continue to find the net consistently despite often being utilized as a winger.
In total he now has 42 goals in 135 appearances for Marseille; helping the French side to a League title and two League Cups.
During the same weekend interview in which he expresed his wish to play in the Premier League, Ayew also admitted to supporting Liverpool as a child.
"As for Liverpool... yes, I have followed them since I was young," he commented.
Ayew, noted for his dribbling ability and high work effect, is contracted to Marseille until June 2015 and is likely to cost any potential suitors in the region of £12-15million.
