Craig Bellamy has earned praise for his attitude from Kenny Dalglish as he settles into his second stint at Liverpool.
The Welsh striker rejoined the Reds over the summer following a spell with Manchester City, and is now looking to establish himself as a key player in the side.
He has not been playing regularly so far this term, although he did start against Norwich on Saturday and scored in a 1-1 draw.
Dalglish insists Bellamy has not been getting down about his lack of playing time, and has instead been showing a great level of maturity.
The 32-year-old struggled with this aspect of his game during a season at Anfield earlier in his career, and Dalglish has been impressed with how far he has come.
"Craig is more mature and better educated now," the Liverpool boss said in the Daily Star.
"He would be happier if he was playing more, but he understands the situation maybe more than when he was younger.
"He knows everyone respects him here and that is a big thing for him."
Bellamy could be given another run-out on Wednesday night when Liverpool travel to Stoke for a Carling Cup fourth round tie.
Dalglish said: "We have put out strong Carling Cup teams and it will be the same at Stoke."
