Liverpool FC boss Kenny Dalglish has been honoured for his services to football and charitable activity.
Dalglish, pictured above, was at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast today to receive an honorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of Ulster.
As well as being a huge success as both a player and manager at Anfield, he has worked tirelessly along with his wife Marina to raise money for cancer charities.
In 2004, Kenny and Marina Dalglish began raising funds through the Marina Dalglish Appeal which paved the way for a new £2m chemotherapy centre at the University Aintree Hospital.
