Paul Konchesky's move from Liverpool back to Fulham is being blocked by new boss Martin Jol.
Konchesky left Craven Cottage last summer but the London club had set up a deal in principle for him to end his Mersey misery.
But Jol has told the board he is keen to look elsewhere for a new left-sided defender to replace homesick Mexican Carlos Salcido.
Konchesky, 29, played 15 league games for the Reds after being signed by Roy Hodgson before being loaned to Nottingham Forest.
