Steve Cooper admits he's relishing his new roles as Liverpool Academy manager and U16s coach.
The Welshman's promotion was announced by the Reds last week as part of a number of changes in the staffing structure of the youth set-up intended to build upon the success of the Kirkby complex.
"It's a great honour to be promoted at a club like this and the boss (Kenny Dalglish) has a great knowledge of the youth scheme as he was very much part of it before he became first-team manager," said Cooper.
"So he perfectly understands what is going on behind the scenes and what is needed from the set-up and has already used players for the first team who have shown promise.
"With the position comes a higher responsibility, but I will relish the challenge.
"The one thing that I have learned about this club is the fact that everyone, whatever their position at the club, are all pushing in the same direction which is great to see and work within."
