Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez has spoken to club legend Kenny Dalglish about a return to Anfield but a role for the Scot has yet to be finalised.
Dalglish, voted the Reds greatest player, has already voiced his desire to help his former club and it has been suggested he would be brought in to become involved in youth development.
Benitez is optimistic he can work with the 58-year-old, who had a 14-year spell at Liverpool before quitting as manager in 1991.
It is true I was talking Kenny and the conversation was really positive, said Benitez.
He wants to help any way he can and we will talk in the future.
The conversations are there. I am really pleased and I think he is really pleased too.
