Liverpool striker Fabio Borini is set for a loan move to Sunderland after the player was spotted arriving at the Black Cats' training ground.
Borini, 22, joined the Reds from Roma last summer in a deal worth an estimated £10.5 million.
However, after an injury-hit first season and the arrival of a clutch of attackers, including Daniel Sturridge, Iago Aspas and Victor Moses, the Italy international has slipped down the pecking order.
The former Chelsea and Swansea player was not involved at all as Liverpool overcame Manchester United on Sunday, and after starting just five games last year he will now be allowed to move to the Stadium of Light in the pursuit of regular first-team football.
