Fabio Borini has been told he might have been better snubbing Liverpool and staying at Roma.
Borini, 22, has flopped at Anfield following his £10.5million switch in July 2012 and has been sent out on loan to Sunderland for the season.
The striker's agent Marco De Marchi claims it might have been better for his career to remain at Roma.
"I think Fabio would have been the ideal player for Zdenek Zeman last year at Roma," De Marchi told Radio Mana Mana.
"But the decision was made to leave Roma. Of course, it all happened very quickly and there was no chance to talk with the new coach.
"But having said that, I still think Roma would have been the right team for Fabio."
