Liverpool Starlet Learning From Cristiano Ronaldo Videos

Liverpool starlet Jordan Ibe is hoping to learn from Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo - and is even watching videos of the Portuguese forward as he looks to add goals to his game.

The 17-year-old winger joined Liverpool from Wycombe in July 2012, and has impressed in the club's youth teams, even earning a spot in the senior squad for the recent away trip to Southampton.

And he's admitted to watching videos of Cristiano Ronaldo in recent weeks in an attempt to add more goals to his game.

Speaking to the Liverpool official website, Ibe said: "Going forward, Alex Inglethorpe [Liverpool reserve team boss] has helped me by showing me clips of Cristiano Ronaldo.

"20 of Ronaldo's goals last season were one-touch finishes at the back post. He's been helping me to get within the frame of the goal and in the six-yard box.

"I haven't scored a lot of goals this season, I have plenty of assists, but with what Alex is showing me I hope I can score a few more goals towards the end of the season."

The 17-year-old made seven first-team appearances for League Two Wycombe before he was snapped up by Liverpool, signing a pre-contract agreement in December 2011 signalling his intention to join the Reds before the start of the 2012-13 season.

Brendan Rodgers has given talented youngsters from the Liverpool academy chances to impress in the first-team this season. Raheem Sterling, Suso and Andre Wisdom have all seen first-team action, and Ibe will hope to be the next in line to make his league debut.
