Wales and Liverpool star Craig Bellamy is at the centre of an investigation after he was called a “sheep-sh***er” by fans.
Bellamy was allegedly the victim of “inhuman, degrading and vile” taunts by rival fans during Liverpool’s Carling Cup match at Brighton last month.
A complaint was lodged with the group ‘Let’s Kick Racism Out’.
An FA spokesman said that they are “aware of this complaint”, as are Brighton.
Bellamy’s Welsh team-mate, black defender Ashley Williams, vowed abusive racist chants will not affect him in Bulgaria tomorrow.
The Bulgarian FA is the subject of a UEFA inquiry after racist chants were allegedly aimed at Ashley Young during England’s qualifier last month.
Wales’ European Championship clash is the first game in the Levski Stadium since that night.
Williams said: “You get a lot of stick at away grounds anyway, so you’ve got to be big enough to deal with it.”
