Blackburn boss Paul Ince is looking at Liverpool's Swedish reserve midfielder Astrit Adjarevic after he was told he could leave Anfield.
The youngster was part of the FA Youth Cup-winning set-up but has failed to grab a place in the senior squad.
Ince is also chasing Egyptian star Ahmed Al-Muhammadi, 21, as he looks to fill David Bentley's boots in January.
The versatile Al-Muhammadi, capped eight times, has been invited to Ewood Park for a week's training and talks.
