Liverpool has made an enquiry to sign Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor.
After falling out of favour at Eastlands, and getting involved in a training ground bust-up with team-mate Kolo Toure, it is understood that Adebayor will be allowed to leave club, and Liverpool have expressed an interest in him, according to Sky Sports.
The former Arsenal striker has fallen behind Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli in the pecking order, and will struggle further as the arrival of Edin Dzeko appears imminent.
Liverpool would be in the market for the Togolese forward on loan, given that City would be keen to recoup most of the £25million fee they spent on him just over 18 months ago.
However, the club is not the only team interested with Tottenham, West Ham and Real Madrid linked with a move.
